Wheel doesn't collect anything about you. There's no account, no analytics, no ads and no server of ours for anything to go to.
Who Wheel talks to
Only the TVs on your own Wi-Fi. It looks for them on your network and sends them button presses, volume changes and text you type. That's what the local network permission is for; you can turn it off any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
What stays on your phone
- The TVs you've added: their names, network addresses and hardware addresses (used to switch them on).
- The pairing key each TV hands Wheel, kept in the iPhone Keychain.
- The last few apps you opened on each TV, and whether you prefer the white or black look.
None of this leaves your phone except to reach the TV it belongs to. The Lock Screen card and the Control Center button read the same data on your phone. Deleting Wheel deletes all of it.
Children
Wheel collects no data from anyone, children included.
